Sorry it has been ages since I have posted anything but....you know...LIFE.
Let's start with the long over due posting of the Ebertfest pics. I only have a few that turned out decent. But I do have my memories.
First off I met up with Dee and her charming husband.

We also ran into SnoKat and Mr. Snokat. We really weren't hard to find. We were the first ones in line to get in to see Perfume.

I know Dee and I had see Perfume before Ebertfest. We were unknowingly at the same screening in Indy. I have to admit, I really wasn't looking forward to seeing the movie again. I was so looking forward to Alan introducing the film. I thought with seeing him, it would get me thru the movie. Well, much to my surprise, Mr. Ebert's wife introduced the movie and there was no sign of Alan anywhere. So, I had to sit thru the movie a second time before I could lay eyes on Alan in person. I didn't think the movie was as bad the second time around as the first time. Of course I think I snoozed thru it a tad. Finally the time came and Alan came out on stage and did a Q&A. I won't go into any detail on that since it has been covered by people already. In all honestly, I can't remember much of the Q&A. All I remember thinking is I can't believe I am really seeing Alan Rickman in person. There was something about his shoes too but I can't remember what it was. Guess that is what I get for not posting this entry for 2 months after the even. *grin* Here is about the only pic that came out worth a hoot from the Q&A.

After the Q&A we all headed outside to wait on Alan's exit. When he finally came out I was in awe at how well he looked in person. I think he looked very tired but I honestly expected him to look different in person...not as good. I was sooooo wrong. He was just as handsome in person as on the screen. I, of course, made an idiot of myself. I handed him my magazine to sign and he had it in his hands and I let go of it. Well, his pen wasn't turned out to write so he let go of my magazine to open his pen. So my magazine was on the ground at his feet. I squatted down to pick it up and all I remember thinking that I hope Dee doesn't take a picture of this...it would look very inappropriate. I think he said "sorry" or something along those lines but I don't remember much after that.
We did get to see Rima. That was a treat as well.
This pretty much sums up my Ebertfest trip. I drove home that night and got home around 4:30 or 5. I was officially up 24 hours. I slept for about 3-4 hours and went into work till 5 that day. I was dragging butt but it was SO WORTH it!
